Thanks Magic Math for helping parents and kids during such challenging COVID times. I want to congratulate you for starting this brilliant initiative. It's spreading Math Knowledge in little kids and they are learning a lot even while staying at home. My daughter (9 years old) has developed immense interest in Math problems after participating in your contests and watching solution videos. She is already learning new concepts every week and if she continues like this, I am sure she will also realize the Magic of Math really early in her life. Thanks again and All the very best.

I am quite impressed with your dedication to make maths simple for younger kids and infuse the zest in them to enjoy mathematics. You are leading the charge in breaking the stereotype around maths being complicated and difficult. In just a span of 8 weeks my 11 year old now waits to attempt the weekly contests, also she loves the video's you upload as it is simple, effective and embeds the concepts within her. Keep up the good work, I appreciate you have a lot to handle within your own school time and to carve out time for spreading math awareness is brilliant work. Your new website is quite informative and transparent for kids to maneuver themselves. Looking forward to many more such contests and learning sessions. Many Thanks

About

Magic Math is determined to spread the beauty of contest math among young students and offer free educational resources to get started. The organization was founded in California during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep students engaged and excited about math while schools had been shut down. Since then, the organization has expanded to four different countries (US, Canada, UK, India), educating hundreds of students.

Participating in Magic Math contests are a fun and easy way to get exposer about contest math. We help students prepare for their journey by creating contests and resources to learn from. Our prior contests along with additional resources can be found under the Resources tab.

The Program

Magic Math organizes a series of math competitions that take place every two weeks. Anyone can register by clicking the Register tab. During the contest, students solve a variety of problems based on their grade level and recieve a rank after the contest is finished. Additionally, they get the test paper along with a Youtube video containing solutions for every problem so that they can learn from their mistakes!

Who are we?

I am Nitish Bansal, senior at Lynbrook High School and founder of Magic Math. In middle school, I participated in math competitions and turns out that was the best decision I ever made! I created Magic Math to help students develop their passion for math and motivate them to learn more. I started off teaching math, free of charge, in my community library and making Youtube videos containing interesting math tricks. Furthermore, I am an AIME qualifier, Miller MATHCOUNTS Coach, Lynbrook High School Math Club Vice President, and achieved AMC8 Distinguished Honor Roll in middle school.

I am Ryan Bansal, co-founder of Magic Math and going to 7th grade at Miller Middle School this fall. I participate in various math competitions and joined Magic Math because I wanted to share my love of competitive math. My achievements in the 2020-21 school year includes being an AIME qualifier, Distinguished Honor Role in AMC8, and qualifying for MATHCOUNTS State along with a perfect score in the chapter round. Additionally, I placed top 20 nationally in Math Kangaroo all 5 years in elementary, getting first place 2 years in a row.
